We are seeking an experienced and creative Packaging Designer with a focus on PET plastic containers to join our dynamic team in Miami, FL.
In this fast-paced role, you will leverage your expertise in 3D CAD software to develop innovative and technically sound designs for rigid consumer packaging, including closures and extrusion blow molded containers.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of plastic materials, the ability to collaborate directly with customers, and proficiency in creating 2D drawings, mold specifications, and ancillary tooling components.
A background in engineering, extensive experience in SolidWorks, and the ability to manage multiple projects are essential.

Responsibilities
Create designs for rigid consumer packaging with primary focus on PET plastic containers (Both Single Stage and Two Stage) and secondary focus on closures and extrusion blow molded containers, in a fast-paced setting using 3D CAD software
Offer a creative, yet consistent and technically feasible, design that supports the customer's brand.
Understand the technical aspects of plastic materials and their fit-for-use in applications
Develop 2D drawings, standards, and templates
Assist with creating mold specifications for specific products.
Design ancillary tooling components for use in prototype and production environments.
Develop and manage 3D printing
Develop FEA testing capabilities if required.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent job experience.
5+ years designing plastic products
Proficient in SolidWorks
Ability to sketch or illustrate ideas quickly a plus
Experience in creating photo-realistic renderings of products applicable to the market segment.
