Overview :

The Director, Compliance Advisory is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of client accounts and strategic relationships for Legal Solutions.

The Director is tasked with growing Compliance services as well as building a team of service delivery professionals. Identifying and developing a team of high achieving professionals will be integral to success in this role.

The Director is responsible for the development and growth of client relationships through effective account management, project management, coordination, execution, quality and acting as the direct escalation point of contact.

Client relationships and business drivers will be at the forefront of all planning and execution within the team. In addition, the Director is responsible for mentoring, developing and providing training opportunities for the team as well as succession planning of future leaders.

The Director will represent the mission, vision and values of Epiq and will exhibit exemplary professional behavior with distinction across all spheres of the Epiq business.

They will support the Vice President, Global Investigations Practice in providing the appropriate level of consultation and expertise sought by Sales, Operations, Finance, and other functional groups.

The Director role demonstrates a blend of technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills as well as empathy and compassion, creating a positive culture and work environment for their team.

The position will require hands-on project support and ongoing escalation routing and client management as we grow the team.

It will require strategic planning for the business, partner management, and product management to drive long term success.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

Strategic Relationships :

  • Identify and vet relevant partnership opportunities with third-party compliance teams, including third-party technology providers;
  • Review and advise regarding strategic value and ensure Epiq's interests through contract review and negotiation; and
  • Manage partnerships and advance Epiq's Compliance Solutions initiatives internally and externally.

Client :

  • Develop and maintain account playbooks and standards;
  • Actively manage and provide substantive oversight to client-specific projects;
  • Coordinate staffing and project assignments for compliance matters. Monitor project staffing and implement changes as appropriate;
  • Provide sales support to the Sales Account Directors and Solution Architects for prospective clients;
  • Develop content in conjunction with Epiq marketing teams;
  • Work with Finance and Sales to provide the appropriate pricing and billing requirements for Epiq Compliance Solutions;
  • Participate in project scoping calls for new engagements;
  • Participate in quarterly business reviews;
  • Assist with SOW review and project estimates for new engagements;
  • Track prospective engagements in Salesforce and work closely with AD on sales cycles
  • Track engagements in project tracker and work closely with CSD on staffing levels and bandwidth;
  • Provide managerial and strategic guidance to the development of Epiq's best practices for Compliance Solutions as well as cross-functionally with Legal Solutions business units;
  • Instill confidence with the clients and serve as the public face of Epiq's high-quality service delivery offering for the Compliance Solutions;
  • Drive overall client satisfaction through effective oversight, expectation, deliverables, and a mix of internal, client and external reference points; and
  • Ability to think and act quickly and effectively in a variety of situations; assertive and decisive.

Service :

  • Establish and enforce standard protocols and responsibilities;
  • Motivate and enforce ownership in all aspects of service delivery and project management;
  • Lead by example on the training and on-boarding of new team members to ensure they are appropriately oriented to Epiq protocols, standards, and technology;
  • Utilize Epiq HR, Talent Acquisition, Professional Development resources in an optimal fashion; and
  • Always collaborate with peers across departmental functional lines.

Required Qualifications

We are seeking a superior candidate for this role.

A Bachelor's (BA) degree. A Juris Doctorate (JD) degree, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or similar advanced degrees a plus;

Position requires : A minimum of ten (10) years industry experience, five (5)+ years specific to Government Investigations or Compliance.

The Compensation range for this role is 121,567.50 - 243,135.60 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
