World Relief Western New York empowers the local church to partner with refugees and immigrants across our region. The Case Aide provides transportation support for newly arrived refugees, as well as assisting with transportation and other administrative tasks related to Resettlement and Placement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide safe transportation for new refugee arrivals from the airport to their new homes.
- Drive World Relief vehicles or personal vehicle to and from airport to pick up clients.
- Transport new arrivals to their apartments; provide hot meals and keys to the apartment as necessary.
- Transports clients to various appointments, including health appointments, school appointments, clothing appointments, food and pocket money drop-offs, etc.
- Assists case workers with day to day administrative and case work duties, as time allows.
- Communicates with volunteer coordination team, caseworkers and other relevant individuals in coordination of pick-ups as needed.
- Utilize problem-solving skills and flexibility to adjust as needed to flight delays, pick-up changes, schedule shifts, cancellations or other unexpected activities.

Requirements

- Previous experience working cross-culturally preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Occasional late nights required
