About the role

BoomPop is expanding to support our growth by adding a high-performing Senior Accountant to the Finance team! Reporting to our Senior Manager of Accounting, you will assist with managing month-end close, including the preparation and posting of journals.

This person will have a strong collaboration with our broader Finance team to implement efficient accounting procedures.

This role will require strong communication and organizational skills to ensure the company's financial statements are prepared timely and accurately.

This could be the ideal position for you if you are a detail-oriented, analytical thinker with high standards and a talent for creating financial statements.

What you"ll do

Responsible for the monthly accounting close including preparing journal entries, analyzing and explaining fluctuations, and providing meaningful financial reporting

Understand relevant accounting principles and communicate such principles to the team and business partners

Analyze current procedures and make recommendations to develop and drive process improvements to achieve efficiency and scalability

Operate with minimum supervision

Special projects and impromptu reporting on request

Review transactions to ensure accounting treatment is in accordance with GAAP and company policies and procedures

Qualifications

3-4+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

Advanced MS Excel skills and experience

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of and experience with US GAAP and accounting operations

CPA and recent Big Four experience highly preferred

Experience in a technology or high-growth company operating in a SOX environment

Bachelor''s degree in accounting or equivalent field

Occasional Travel : Connecting is in our DNA, please note that we anticipate roughly 3-4 nights of travel per quarter for this role.

Total Compensation Package; Including Benefits and Stock :

Base : $65,000 - $90,000 a year; Depending on Experience and Qualifications

Medical, vision, dental, life : $10,000 - $16,000 a year; Depending on Individual or Family Plan

Equity : Our vision is to take BoomPop to the moon; Total Estimated Value for this Role is $50,000+
