Education :
High School Graduate or Equivalent
Experience / Qualifications :
- Must have one of the following requirements : Certified Scrub Tech or Certified Nursing Assistant with 3yrs of OB scrub experience.
- Certified Scrub Tech (CST) Certification preferred.
- American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider
- At least 3 years of experience in an operating room
Position Summary
- The Scrub Technician is a member of the nursing team who contributes to the comfort and wellbeing of the patients by performing specifically assigned tasks and works under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Provides surgical scrub assistance for cases performed in Women’s Services.
- Support and provide services to the Labor and Delivery / Post-Partum patients as directed by the Registered Nurse. Responsible for the establishment / evaluation of the PAR level for supplies as well as the routine stocking, cleaning & maintenance of instruments for the unit.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
