Your Specific Responsibilities :

  • Certifies / recertifies women, infants, and children to participate in the WIC Program.
  • Provides nutrition assessment and counseling for WIC clients, and documents counseling in client record same day of the service using the SOAP format.
  • Develops and implements a nutrition care plan appropriate for each client.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates client education materials, including preparing bulletin boards and conducting group instruction.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • Ability to use a computer, printer, and calculator
  • Ability to use program related computer software
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to perform anthropometric and hemoglobin tests for WIC clients using appropriate biohazard, safety, and WIC procedures
  • Knowledge of dietetic practice

Qualifications : Minimum -

Minimum -

  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition / Dietetics
  • Registered Dietitian or Licensed Dietitian / Nutritionist in the State of Florida
  • Driver's license and transportation

Preferred -

Prior experience working with WIC Program
