Overview

Adjunct, Art Historian at Monmouth University. This is a part-time, on-site, in-person position at the West Long Branch campus. The Department of Art and Design seeks an adjunct professor who uses critical pedagogical approaches to teach the Surveys of Western Art, including a two-part Western Survey : Prehistoric to Gothic (Fall) and Renaissance to Contemporary (Spring). Preference given to faculty who can also teach intro-level Art Appreciation and / or some 300-level, writing-intensive offerings in Art History, such as African American Art; History of Graphic Design; and Gender, Art, and Society. Responsibilities

• Teach 3-6 credits during the semester.
• Develop and deliver course lectures, discussions and assignments in accordance with the curriculum and learning objectives.
• Provide time during the week to meet with students outside of class.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment conducive to student engagement and academic success.
• Develop and administer projects and exams to evaluate student learning outcomes and provide grades in a timely manner.
• Provide timely feedback and guidance to students to support their learning and development.
