Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents, and maintains computing applications. Gathers and evaluates end-user requirements.

Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs, and other application architecture requirements.

Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality. Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems.

Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements.

The Boeing Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA) organization is currently seeking a high-performing versatile Mid-level Software Developer to join the team in either Seal Beach CA or El Segundo, CA.

The IT Product Support Government & Tech Operations contract direct team provides comprehensive software solutions to rapidly access and visually transform complex engineering and manufacturing product data supporting the BDS Contract Direct Product Support organization.

Opportunities include development and integration for a variety of Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and in-house software applications supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams.

Position Responsibilities :

• Designs, programs, tests, implements, documents, and maintains computing applications.
• Gathers and evaluates end-user requirements.
• Writes and compiles code and constructs database objects based on documented design and analyzes information to determine architecture specifications, parameters for software compatibility, application security needs, and other application architecture requirements.
• Modifies or upgrades applications to maintain software functionality.
• Identifies and resolves programming or application architecture problems.
• Reviews system performance and identifies and recommends improvements.
• Address IT Compliance items by performing application scans for security requirements.
• Partner with senior team member on application server setup when needed.
• This position is expected to be 100% on-site. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

An interim and / or final U.S. Secret clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :

• 5+ Years of software development experience with application integration and system architecture, utilizing standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools.
• 3+ Years of software development in .Net technologies and web service technologies and client-side technologies
• 3+ Years writing database queries in SQL server or Oracle.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :

• Current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or agree to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
• Previous application server experience
• Current CompTIA certificate or ability to obtain Post-Start.
• 3+ years' experience with Microsoft SharePoint
• 3+ years' experience with AGILE
• 3+ years' experience with configuration management
• 3+ years' experience with ColdFusion
• 3+ years' experience with Software Requirements
