The Role :

Our site in Danbury, CT is seeking a Materials Scientist to join our team. In this role, you wil l contribute to ongoing research projects and support the development of new products within the Specialty Gas group.

What You’ll Do :

Lead research and development activities focusing on purification of specialty gases or vapors .

C ritically review data and prepare technical reports to communicate findings for technology development , continuous improvement, and other projects .

What We Seek :

Master’s degree in C hemistry , Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science , or related field with 6+ years’ experience ;

Ph.D. with 2+ years’ experience .

Technical expertise in gas or vapor purification techniques including , but not limited to vapor phase distillation, absorbent based purification, or related technolog ies .

Proficient with a breadth of relevant methodologies such as absorbance spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy , and X-ray characterization techniques .

Outstanding Candidates Will Have :

Technical expertise in the Specialty Gas industry .

Experience with fluid modeling using software such as COMSOL .

Ability to collaborate with and mentor peers .

Ability to effectively interact with colleagues at all levels of the organization .

Experience creating and executing project s while maintaining timelines and budgets .

Demonstrated oral and written communication skills through publications, patents, and oral presentation s .
