We are looking for a courteous and professional Medical Receptionist to strengthen our administrative team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for our patients and will be responsible for maintaining an organized front desk.
Responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, answering calls, and providing excellent customer service to patients.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment is highly desired.
Responsibilities :
- Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone.
- Professionally and efficiently manage a high-volume of calls.
- Schedule patient appointments and manage appointment calendars.
- Verify and update patient information during every visit.
- Document all patient interactions and other relevant information.
- Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and shorter waiting periods.
- Facilitate the collection of copays, deductibles, and past-due balances.
- Navigate electronic health records and practice management systems.
- Adhere to the confidentiality and safety regulations stipulated in the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
