Director of Supply Chain

With general direction from the Vice President of Tech Ops, responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling supply chain functions and program management for aircraft component repairs and scraps.
Responsible for materials planning functions including optimizing a multi-million-dollar inventory of spare parts and airframe rotables in all maintenance stocking locations, ensuring parts are available for scheduled work, Heavy Check, response to AOG events and the efficient movement of materials.
Responsible for directing and controlling Technical Stores functions including coordination and administration of aircraft parts, material inventory, and personnel, to ensure the highest level of operational integrity, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and a safe and efficient working environment.
Job Functions :
- Promotes and fosters a safe and secure operating environment.
- Plans resources to meet Company goals and objectives; manages metrics related to departmental goals.
- Ensures all supply chain departments meet quality, timeliness and interdepartmental communication goals.
- Accountable for all department budgets and maintaining costs within those budgets.
- Responsible for the software systems used for procurement, receiving and issuing of supplies.
- Directs program management for aircraft components, including all repairs, disposition of unserviceable parts, scrap reduction and compliance to all terms and conditions of contracted rates.
- Responsible for procurement and management of AOG situations.
- Strategically leads Material Planning initiatives to manage inventory growth, reduce shipping costs, decrease parts transfers and reduce materials spend for heavy check.
- Responsible for Procurement, Material Planning and Technical Stores internal controls and compliance with all specified policies, practices and procedures.
- Ensures compliance with the collective bargaining agreement and resolves issues for Technical Stores.
- Maintains relationships with aircraft manufacturers and supplier liaisons for MHI.
- Directs the efforts for operational efficiency improvements, cost reduction efforts and implements streamlining initiatives across the Procurement, Materials Planning and Technical Stores functions.
Education & Experience :
Required :
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or similar field, or equivalent work experience
- 5 to 7 years professional-level experience and leadership within Aviation Maintenance, Supply Chain / Sourcing, Finance or Engineering
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US passport and possess a valid drivers license
