ABOUT Hermosa

Hermosa, located approximately 75 miles south-east of Tucson, Arizona, is the only advanced mining project in the United States as of 2023 that could produce two federally designated critical minerals manganese and zinc as well as silver and lead.

The project has the potential to help power the nation’s clean energy future, strengthen the domestic supply chain of critical minerals, grow the local economy, and improve lives in Santa Cruz County and the surrounding community for generations to come.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Human Resource Advisor you will be accountable for supporting the operational HR function within North America. Owning the HR processes related to the management of our people, this role manages the system related processes, as well as provides line leader support for the effective management of human resources.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to :

  • Coach and support leaders to execute day to day performance and conduct management in accordance with Company policies and procedures
  • Assist with activities such as reporting and data analytics and employee communications
  • Support activities in relation to recruitment approval and processes in line with workforce plan approved headcounts
  • Support leaders to ensure a positive onboarding experience & completion of key HR activities such as performance and development goals
  • Assist with the roll out of South32 leadership capability programs based on operational requirements
  • Assist with LMS system management, tracking and reporting requirements
  • Manages employee queries regarding employee benefits and reward processes
  • Draft letters, coordinate logistics and provide administrative support to people-processes related to organisation design changes.
  • Extracts, analyses and presents HR reports and data to meet operational requirements
  • Supports leaders on location specific, transactional offboarding activities and conduct exit interviews below manager level
  • Assist with meeting management and action tracking for North America HR team meetings and annual business planning processes

ABOUT YOU

  • Bachelors degree Human Resources (or related field preferred)
  • Customer service orientated role previously, ideally in the Human Resources function (preferred)
  • Sound understanding of Human Resources practices and methodologies
  • Ability plan and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment effectively
  • Understanding of legal requirements related to day-to-day employee management
  • Experience with enterprise systems including SuccessFactors and SAP or other relevant HRIS(desirable)
  • Heavy Industry experience (desirable)
