In this position, individuals will be responsible for accelerating team member and client success by coordinating Clinician in Training (CiT) training across assigned locations.

The role is responsible for the coordination and ongoing implementation of the BCBA training content and checklists in collaboration with the Clinical Training Team members, coordinating with the Director of BA Development to ensure a smooth implementation of centralized training and on-site training and mentoring.

This role will also be responsible for creating ongoing training opportunities for newly onboarded BCBA’s at new locations to enhance clinical quality.

This role reports to the Director of BA Development.

Job Requirements

  • A BCBA with 5 or more years of experience in good standing.
  • Current certification and licensure in states where we provide services preferred.
  • Qualified candidates will enjoy working with children, be flexible, patient, and dependable. They will be highly motivated, naturally take initiative, be willing to learn, remain curious, and look to make a larger, positive impact.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in providing training in behavior analytic principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask with accuracy.
  • Strong facilitation skills.
  • Excellent rapport with children.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with colleagues, parents, and staff members.

Other Job Responsibilities

  • Implement training tracks for BCBA’s.
  • Management and coordination of all CiTs, ensuring consistency in the implementation of CiT as well as acting as a CiT supervisor and coach.
  • Work collaboratively with the Clinical Training Team, providing input on training needs for other clinical positions (Trainers, BAs, TPS).
  • Ensure clinical trainings are presented in a clear and consistent way across locations.
  • Assist in the implementation of competency checks and on-the-floor training of new BCBA’s who are in CiT.
  • Ensure competency checks are embedded into trainings and monitor for maintenance across BCBA’s at new locations to ensure clinical consistency and quality.
  • Travel to Bierman locations to provide hands-on training and oversight for new clinicians and clinicians in new locations in collaboration with the Director of Instructional Design and Programming.
  • Create CEU trainings that target increased knowledge in advanced clinical topics and leadership topics for BCBAs.
  • Stay current on new research and incorporate new research into current practice by attending at least one conference per year.

Basic & Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain / hold / transport and utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behavior Support Plan in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures including kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, and bending for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk and run to chase clients and maintain a three-foot distance at all times.
  • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to attend to basic needs such as feeding, diapering, toileting, and dressing.
  • Must have manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection and session documentation.
  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
  • Must be able to take written data and transfer it to electronic files or database systems.
  • Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk or on the floor.
  • Must be able to assemble, clean, and maintain therapy space including toys and furniture.
  • Must be able to administer medication to clients.
  • Travel up to 30% required.
