PAR Technology has an exciting opportunity! The Sr. Accountant, Commercial Finance plays a crucial role in supporting intelligent, financially sound decision making for our Operations Cloud Business Unit (Brink, Data Central, Payments, and Pixel).

This person will have demonstrated strong accounting, financial analytical skills, Business Acumen (Enterprise Technology and Multi-Product technology company), and the ability to think strategically.

This person will be a quick thinker and doer and is hungry to get exposure to FP&A. This person will have experience in taking high level direction and delivering with high quality output.

This person will help with day-to-day accounting and also perform deep dive analyses within the Operations Cloud area including SaaS metrics, trends, profitability and other KPIs.

This person must be an initiative-taker and perform well with other accountants / analysts within Operations Cloud Commercial Finance.

This role is not for the faint of heart, but for someone who will roll up their sleeves and go to work knowing what they do makes a difference.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting or Business
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in business and or hospitality with emphasis in accounting and / or financial planning & analysis supporting SaaS or fast-growing technology companies.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition for SaaS and SaaS related services
  • Experience in calculating Annual Recurring Revenue and other SaaS Metrics (CAC : LTV, CARR, Rule of 40 etc.)
  • Strong finance skills, analytical problem-solving ability, and solid business acumen
  • Independent thinking and the ability to use data and business acumen to drive decisions.
  • Passion for using data to drive better decision making and connecting operational metrics with financial results.
  • Strong partnership and influence skills
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of the nuance of FP&A in rapidly changing environment, including monthly and quarterly updates, and rolling forecasts
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across organizations and functions while utilizing resources effectively.
  • Systems Knowledge & Experience
  • Management Reporting System (Planful, Anaplan, Adaptive, etc.)
  • Data Visualization (Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Domo etc.)
  • Microsoft FO Dynamics experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Advanced Formulas, use of short-cut keys etc.)
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage simultaneous assignments under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hard working; willing to work 50+ hours per week.

Why We Need You

  • Support the Operations Cloud Business Unit including :
  • Forecasting salary expense, revenue, and cost of goods.
  • Journal entries and reconciliations at month end.
  • Monthly accounting close process.
  • Monthly managerial reporting (Budget vs. Actuals), P&L, Department Statements, Revenue, Gross Margin, OpEx analyses).
  • Monthly forecast process (Rev ->

COGS, OpEx and incorporating HC changes).

  • Deep dive into business analytics providing actional insights to the General Manager.
  • Annual Budgeting Process.
  • Spending and Head Count approvals / analyses.
  • Support your manager in being a mini-CFO to the Operations Cloud General Manager and tell the narrative from month to month, quarter to quarter, year to year etc.
  • Support the Cloud Operations Monthly and Quarterly Business presented to PAR senior management.
  • Support the coordination and management of customer contract administration to ensure proper accounting and reporting. Working closely with Legal, Shared Services and Controllers.
  • Use Planful Management Reporting System to analyze actuals and input updated forecasts.
  • Look for opportunities to enable real time reporting through Power Bi or other data visualization tools.
  • Help Commercial Finance be recognized as thought leaders in helping the business focus on things that matter most.
  • Work with the Operations Cloud GM to drive financial and business accountability.

The base salary range for this position is $87,000 to $95,000 USD per year commensurate with work location, experience, skills, certifications, education, and prior accomplishments.

The position may be eligible for additional compensation, including a bonus, commission and / or equity, as applicable.
