We are looking to grow our team!
About
Neighborhood is a specialty coffee shop serving direct trade and organic coffee from multiple international roasters. Our flagship shop, which opened in March 2019, was designed as a gathering place, a calm respite from the busy world outside on La Brea Avenue in Hollywood.
We pride ourselves in serving the highest grade coffee in the industry prepared with fine tuned exactness and a great attention towards lean-in hospitality to our guests.
Seeking
We are a friendly, motivated and supportive team of coffee and service-loving individuals and are looking to add more! Our current team is full of individuals who have worked in the specialty coffee industry for quite some time and we use all of our vast experiences to develop a coffee program that nurtures experimentation and values quality above all. .
Offerings
- Full and part-time positions available
- Sick pay after 90 days of employment

Responsibilities
- Warm, genuine engagement with customers; ability to develop rapport with returning guests
- Effectively utilize and care for coffee-making equipment; dial in and improve upon recipes and extraction
- Work collaboratively and empathetically with team members
- Ability to multi-task and keep calm in busy situations
- Good organization and impeccable cleanliness
Qualifications / Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of specialty coffee
- Passionate about coffee and hospitality
- Weekend availability and flexibility
- CA Food Handler’s Certification or the willingness to attain one within 30 days of hire
- Be able to commit to a two week schedule posting
