Fire Alarm and Fire Sprinkler Service Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings.

You will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial fire alarm, sprinkler systems, and other water-based systems.

You will ensure components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to the customer's operational requirements.

In addition to your primary responsibilities, you will also act as a mentor, providing on-the-job training to less experienced technicians, fostering a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing within our team.

As a Fire Alarm or Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will :

Execute comprehensive testing, inspections, and repair of commercial fire alarm systems and / or fire sprinkler systems including peripheral parts and systems

Properly document deficiencies / impairments noted during inspections or service work, create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs and follow required process of reporting deficiencies while on-site

Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality. Report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material

Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards

Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects

Plan work with Lead Technicians and Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively

Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures

Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all work performed

Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment. Follow corporate policies related to vehicle use and care

You will make an impact with these qualifications :

Basic Qualifications :

3+ years of experience in the inspections, testing, and / or repair of commercial fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, and / or other water-based equipment

Must be able to demonstrate :

Ability to differentiate types / colors of wire; use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted

Ability and willingness to work in a variety of environments in and around mechanical equipment, including climbing ladders, scaffolds, and high-lift equipment, working in ducts, above ceilings, and in outside / inside / heat / cold / day / night conditions;

use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet

Must obtain NICET Fire Alarm Certification Level 3 within 12 months

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read / understand design and construction documents

Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations

Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications :

High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree in electronics or related field preferred

7+ years of experience in the inspections, testing, and / or repair of commercial fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, and / or other water-based equipment

The pay range for this position is $55160 - $109680 / year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
