HOSPITALITY - DINING ROOM MANAGER - Luxury Senior Living

Join our culinary excellence team where you can lead with hospitality, elevate every meal, and create unforgettable dining experiences in a community that feels like home!

Compensation : $70,000 to $75,000 DOE

Schedule : Need open availability, including weekends, evenings or holidays.

Your impact

Under the guidance and direction of our Food Service Director, in the kitchen and dining areas of our Senior Living Community, you are a vital part of enhancing the daily lives of our residents. The Hospitality Dining Room Manager manages all aspects of the dining department in the senior living community, ensuring the delivery of nutritious, appealing meals to residents while adhering to dietary needs and restrictions and preferences. The role involves administrative duties, staff management, hands-on service, and interaction with residents.

What you will do

• Oversee daily dining operations, including meal preparation, service, and clean-up.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintain menus in collaboration with the culinary team, considering residents' nutritional needs and preferences.
• Assist in managing inventory needs for the dining rooms.
• Ensure the dining areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate dining services staff, including chefs, cooks, servers, and dishwashers.
• Schedule staff shifts and manage labor costs within budget.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing training and development.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Manage the dining services budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost-control measures under the direction of the Food Service / Executive Chef.
• Interact with residents to obtain feedback on dining services and address any concerns or special dietary needs.
• Organize special events, themed dinners, and holiday meals to enhance resident satisfaction.
• Ensure that excellent customer service and a high level of hospitality are provided to residents and their families.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to food service in a healthcare environment.
• Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in senior living dining services.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will need

Physical and Sensory Requirements

Requires mobility to stand and walk extensively during meal preparation and service. Lifting, carrying trays, and boxes, up to 25 pounds. Pushing / Pulling Food Hot Boxes up to 50 pounds. Bending and stooping for access to carts, food, trays, and other kitchen equipment. Manual dexterity for the use of kitchen utensils and tools. Visual acuity for reading menus, labels, and directions. Hearing ability to respond to verbal communications. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures. Taste and Smell to assess food quality, freshness, and adherence to dietary requirements. Ability to distinguish colors for food presentation.
