Flex Parking Attendant, Business Services Division

Description

Job Duties :

Process parking payments via credit cards and cash.

Utilize multi-point of sale processors : cash registers, stand-alone credit card terminals, and payment kiosks.

Reconcile transactions.

Provide excellent customer service.

Maintain control of parking facility to which assigned.

Communicate with supervisor.

Qualifications :

A High School Diploma or GED is required along with 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Cash handling experience and ability to operate computerized cash revenue system is required.

Experience in retail sales managing customer payments and providing exceptional customer service.

Must be available to work variable shift assignments Monday to Sunday (including evenings & weekends) as assigned.

Valid driver’s license required.

Working Conditions :

High noise environment; Alternative work schedules; exposure to moving machinery; Outdoor exposure to weather.

Physical Effort :

Typically sitting at a desk or table; Intermittently sitting / standing / stooping; Typically standing or walking; Occasional lifting 25 lb. or less.

About Penn Parking :

Penn Parking is a department under the auspices of the University's Division of Business Services. Consistent with the mission of the overall Division, the department's underlying philosophy is to provide clients with high-quality service in a fiscally responsible manner.

The Department manages and operates 25 parking facilities on Penn's campus, including garages and lots.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
