Job Overview

ZO Motors is looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, supply chain management, and vendor relations.

As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services to meet the company's operational needs.

You will work closely with various departments to ensure that procurement activities align with the company's strategic goals and objectives.

The role requires excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, conducting market research, and staying up to date with industry trends.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of reducing costs, improving supplier performance, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products.

Essential Job Duties include

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet company objectives.
• Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and industry trends.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and logistics teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Prepare and present procurement reports to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business operations.
• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Develop and maintain a supplier database.
• Evaluate and improve procurement processes and procedures.
• Provide guidance and support to other buyers and procurement staff.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
• Experience with international sourcing and procurement.
• Ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Fluent English and Spanish language ability a requirement
• Knowledge of 3DX software is a plus.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus.

Work environment

Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and includes some travel.

Salary Range based on experience ($125,000-$150,000 / yr)
