As a Clinical Nurse RN in a Family Medicine practice, you will work under the direction of a health care provider to deliver exceptional patient care.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Assisting with patient preparation for examination and minor surgical procedures, and obtaining vital information
- Performing clinical skills and drawing blood or other samples for laboratory analysis
- Applying the nursing process and providing telephone triage advice for home care of illness / conditions
- Administering vaccines and medications, placing urinary catheters and IVs per protocol and licensure
- Scheduling referrals and completing necessary forms for testing or specialist appointments
- Documenting patient care and supervising delegated duties to LPNs and CMAs
- Participating in clinic / department meetings and maintaining compliance with guidelines and regulations
- Providing patient education using the Teach-back method and contributing to the success of the team by balancing responsibilities and striving for quality and customer service
- Performing other duties as requested to ensure effective office operations
