Overview
This role is an Entry-level Inventory Specialist responsible for expediting and following up on purchase orders, updating the ERP system, and working closely with sales and the shop floor in a fast-paced machining / manufacturing environment.
Experience reading mechanical drawings and familiarity with ERP tracking software is a plus.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage purchase order expediting and follow-up on open orders
- Perform clerical duties, including updating and maintaining the ERP system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient material procurement
- Interpret and comprehend mechanical drawings (a significant advantage)
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to facilitate seamless material acquisition
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives
Requirements :
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or machining company (entry-level candidates may be considered)
- Familiarity with ERP systems or willingness to learn (Microsoft software experience is a plus)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary range : $50,000 - $65,000 (commensurate with previous inventory experience)
