A DAY IN THE LIFE
Collaborate with site supervisory personnel to identify and remedy unsafe working conditions
Act as a subject matter expert and is a recognized on-site leader. Coaches site teams and employees on how to identify and eliminate hazards
Collaborate and e ngage with the front-line teams and management to develop methods and practices that will eliminate exposure and build capacity
Observe , e nsure, and assist the site team with executing the Site Safety Program, which includes Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), Daily Field Observations ( DFOs), and Stuff That Kills You (STKY) observations throughout the project site
Develop and maintain working relationships with the on-site nurse , local occupational physicians, EMT's, fire departments, and law enforcement officials
Mentor an d trains new Site Safety Managers and Interns
Investigate and lead all incidents and safety exposures with the trade superintendents and required foremen and crew down to the root cause utilizing Root Cause Analysis and Five Why Analysis
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
A four-year related degree; or equivalent of education and experience
Familiarity with root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
Ability to plan, implement, and supervise large scale project safety, accident, and fire protection programs in compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local program standards
Able to pass an MVR Check, Background Check, Physical, and Drug Test
Willingness to travel and relocate to the jobsite (100% travel with rotations)
