Assists patients in making meals selections from Room Service over the phone and in-person.
Assists patients who may have special nutrition needs or allergies in making meal selections. Uses defined guidelines and standards for accommodating customization requests and ensuring that diet restrictions are adhered to.
Answers questions about Room Service menu, patient food service, and diet compliance guidelines.
Places patient meal orders into food service management system software (CBORD). Uses CBORD to complete job functions as outlined in assigned job routine, including entering notes and nourishment into system.
Provides basic heart healthy nutrition and food / drug interaction education to patients.
Uses the electronic health record (MiChart) to complete job functions as outlined in assigned job routine, including cross checking nutrition orders, sending Secure Chat messages to care providers and entering charge data in alignment with job routine.
Delivers oral nutrition supplements and enteral nutrition formulas to patient bedside in alignment with diet orders.
Inventories oral nutrition supplements and enteral formulas. Maintains defined pars in centralized stocking locations.
Protects confidential patient information when performing primary duties and responsibilities.
Provides service recovery, as needed.
Reports to Food Service Manager.

Requirements :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic computer skills, including use of email.
Able to use phones, computers, pagers, and printers efficiently to complete job tasks.
Able to lift 15 pounds.
Able to walk a considerable distance.
