Commercial and Sales Professional Development Program (PDP)- Class of 2025 Where the Chemistry Happens

BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences.

Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills while fulfilling specific business needs.

Participants will have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

Program Summary :

BASF’s Commercial & Sales Rotational Program is a 2-year cross-functional program with rotations in Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Procurement, and Marketing.

Your ability to be mobile is critical, as this program is comprised of multiple eight-month assignments, all based in different locations across the US.

US locations include, but are not limited to : New Jersey, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas, Louisiana.

Successfully engaging across the business throughout your rotations will expand your network, allow you to grow personally and professionally, and learn a variety of valuable skill sets.

Upon your completion of the program, you will have the opportunity to join our Talent Pipeline within the organization, in a variety of disciplines within Commercial & Sales.

Opportunities & roles in the program can include, but are not limited to : Operations, Technical Sales, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Marketing, Product Management, Account Management, Distribution Account Management, Procurement.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Recent graduates or current Seniors receiving a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Management, or other related business major.
  • Graduation date must fall between May 2024 - July 2025.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship.
  • Commitment to relocate anywhere in the U.S. during and upon placement from the program. All assignments are in-person / hybrid.
  • Demonstrated previous leadership experience & academic achievement.
  • Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations.
  • Interest in Manufacturing / Chemical industry.
  • Previous internship / co-op experience preferred.
  • Project management experience is a plus.
  • Prior experience in PowerBI, SAP, Tableau, and advanced Excel proficiency are a plus.
