TheMammography / Breast Ultrasound Technologist performs specializedexaminations of the breast to help in the diagnosis and treatmentof breast disease in patients.
The Mammography / Breast UltrasoundTechnologist performs a variety of tasks involving the operation ofmammographic radiographic equipment, ultrasound equipment and otherequipment / devices asappropriate.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM EDUCATIONREQUIRED : Graduate of an AMA approved school of RadiologicTechnology or Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic MedicalSonography Program.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED : One (1) yearminimum experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred. MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW : Registered RadiologicTechnologist in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
BreastUltrasound requirement can be met by (BS) ARRT or ARDMS. ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS : BLS certified.
