What You Can Expect

As the Legal Contract Administrator in Houston, Texas for ENGIE's Global Energy Management & Sales ("GEMS") you will be responsible for providing contracting and legal support to the U.

S. wholesale entity "GEMS" business platform. Everyday, you will report to the General Counsel and assist attorneys in all phases of the life-cycle of energy trading documentation, from contract drafting to execution.

You will also have the primary responsibility for management of all U.S. wholesale contracts and administration of related files.

What You'll Bring

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in pre-law, legal studies, political science, economics, business administration or similar field with a Juris Doctorate (J.

D.) being highly beneficial for the role

  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a contract administrator, contract manager, large firm corporate transactional paralegal or similar role or coming from energy marketing and trading environment
  • Previous experience in transactional matters (specifically related to energy and energy trading)
  • Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and administering contracts with counterparties, including ISDA Master Agreements, NAESB Base Contracts, non-disclosure agreements, renewable energy credit (REC) agreements, transportation and storage contracts, and other energy marketing and trading agreements
  • Ability to manage contract approval and execution processes, including coordination among Legal, Credit, Front Office and other stakeholders
  • Ability to manage entry of agreements into enterprise trading and risk management system and contract databases
  • Proven experience creating and managing process improvements within the legal group, including coordination among legal, front office, IT, and other stakeholders

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; three days in office
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license / clean driving record
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

Compensation

Salary Range : $62,400 - $95,450 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
