Job Title : Applications Developer
Location : Quincy, MA (Hybrid)
Duration : 6 months (Tentative)
Summary :
The Applications Developer will provide analytical support for the development and implementation of complex systems. This role requires expertise in client / server applications technology, involving analysis, design, coding, debugging, testing, and documentation of applications.
The ideal candidate should have experience with graphical user interfaces (GUI), object-oriented programming, relational databases, and cloud engineering, alongside strong problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Translate business requirements into Data Warehouse solutions.
- Develop data models and designs to source data from multiple systems.
- Mentor technical staff in cloud technologies.
- Assist in planning and migrating on-premises data solutions to the cloud.
- Write ETL scripts using Oracle, Snowflake, or IICS for data transformation.
- Document designs according to industry standards.
- Monitor and optimize data processing and storage performance in cloud environments.
- Provide query writing and tuning support to analysts and end users.
- Develop shell / Python scripts for job automation.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Qualifications :
- 5+ years of experience in database development, including SQL analysis, design, and implementation.
- Knowledge of Data Warehouse applications on AWS.
- Experience with Apache Airflow.
- Strong skills in Oracle and Snowflake SQL.
- Hands-on experience with cloud architectures.
- Proficiency in Informatica IICS and version control with GitHub.
- Experience with large, multi-terabyte data warehouses.
- Background in healthcare, Medicaid, or claims processing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Oracle SQL, PL / SQL, Perl, and system / database administration.
Education and Certifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- AWS Cloud Certification and AWS Certified Solutions Architect (preferred).
- Snowflake and Informatica IICS certifications (preferred).
