Position Overview :

The Staff Accountant position is an excellent entry-level role for someone with an Accounting or Finance degree and 1-3 years of related accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.

We're a fast growing company and this role has a wide range of accounting responsibilities. The position reports to the Plant Controller but will work closely with the entire corporate finance team.

Staff Accountant Job Duties :

• Hands-on accounting role reporting to Controller in a dynamic manufacturing environment
• This role provides opportunity to enhance business acumen by participating in various facets of the sales, operations, and accounting functions
• Participate in month-end close process providing journal entries, account reconciliation, and variance analysis
• Play key role in enforcing internal control processes around three-way match, segregation of duties, and company spending approval guidelines, occasionally documenting processes
• Preparation of daily reporting package that includes sales, bookings, backlog, and past due tracking
• Support operations in tracking key metrics such as production labor and past due trends
• Ensure cleanliness of ERP data specifically relating to customer and vendor profiles
• Provide ongoing customer credit limit analysis, periodically participating in AR collections
• Perform other ad-hoc analysis and data compilation as requested by Controller as well as Operational and Sales Leadership
• Candidate must be comfortable being on a manufacturing floor periodically

Staff Accountant Skills and Qualifications :

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required
• 1-3 years of related experience in general accounting, accounts receivable or accounts payable is required
• Basic knowledge of GAAP is required
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office applications is required
• Critically thinking
• Able to grasp new concepts quickly
• Must be detail oriented and organized
• Must be a self-starter and be able to prioritize
• Must have good communication skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand; Reach

with hands and arms and talk and hear.

• The employee is occasionally required to walk and lift up to 20 lbs.

PPE REQUIREMENTS :

In compliance with OSHA standards, it has been determined that safety glasses and footwear are

required if required to be on the warehouse floor.

Additional PPE may be required per specific tasks in the department due to Covid-19 safety

protocol.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Working environment is in an air-conditioned cubicle.
