Accounts Payable Specialist - Tampa Fl

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role is responsible for full-cycle accounts payable processing in a high-volume, multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

Key responsibilities include :

• Processing high-volume invoices including validation of charges, general ledger coding, intercompany transactions, and multi-location allocations.
• Performing 3-way matching by validating purchase orders and receiving data in inventory-based software; resolving discrepancies with Procurement.
• Coordinating with multi-level approvers to ensure timely invoice approvals using a delegation threshold matrix.
• Partnering with the Purchasing Department to resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Managing vendor relationships and reconciling invoice / payment issues.
• Reviewing vendor statements and performing monthly Excel-based reconciliations.
• Collaborating with the AP Lead on team deadlines, ad-hoc reporting, data analysis, staff training, and special projects.
• Maintaining organized, cloud-based accounts payable records in a paperless environment.
• Ensuring vendor documentation compliance including W-9s, contracts, and certificates of insurance.
• Supporting month-end close processes including accruals and journal entries.
• Continuously seeking process improvements to enhance efficiency.
• Performing other duties as assigned to support the accounting and payable department.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 / hr.
