Links Solutions is seeking a Computer System Analyst III to join our team in Charleston, SC.

• Hybrid Permitted (Must be able to come into office 1-2 days weekly)

The Computer Systems Analyst will oversee cybersecurity operations, system maintenance, and network support at the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC).

This role is vital for the advancement of the National Science Foundation’s initiatives. The analyst will be entrusted with delivering comprehensive cyber services and solutions, alongside robust technical and managerial support for the NIWC Atlantic Polar Programs (NPP).

The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the operational integrity and security of our client's IT systems.

Job Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless networks.
• Implement and enforce network security measures.
• Provide technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.
• Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and user-reported problems.
• Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Test and verify backups regularly.
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
• Perform regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
• Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.
• Ensure that systems are up-to-date with the latest security patches.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.
• Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as needed.

Qualifications

• US Citizen
• Public Trust Security Clearance or be eligible to obtain.
• IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher).
• AA / AS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts or Four (4+) years of relevant experience.
• Tier 2 customer support experience.
• Experience in design, development, testing, evaluation, network protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and UNIX / Windows-based operating systems.
• Experience implementing security measures and monitoring systems for potential threats.

Preferred :

• Public Trust Security Clearance.
• Software Engineering Master (PSEM) / Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP) with COR approval complete a vendor / platform-specific certification : Certified Information Systems Security
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Accurate and precise attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management.
