The R&D Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of various R&D projects from concept through commercialization.

Description

• Project Management : Lead and manage R&D projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Product Development : Oversee the development of new food products, reformulations, and process improvements, coordinating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, quality, and regulatory.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers, to ensure that project requirements, timelines, and budgets are met.
• Innovation & Research : Stay up to date with trends, ingredients, and technologies in the food manufacturing industry to drive innovation and identify opportunities for new product lines.
• Compliance & Safety : Ensure all products meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards, including FDA, USDA, and other relevant regulations.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain detailed project documentation, including timelines, budgets, technical specifications, and status updates, to communicate progress with senior management.
• Risk Management : Identify potential risks in projects and develop mitigation strategies to keep projects on track.
• Process Optimization : Lead initiatives to improve product quality, shelf life, cost efficiencies, and production processes, working closely with operations and engineering teams.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in R&D project management within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven track record of successfully leading product development projects from ideation through launch.
• Strong understanding of food processing, product formulation, and ingredient functionality.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA) and quality standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP).
• Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
