Salary : $33 - $40 per hour

A bit about us :

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman for a permanent role within our company. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our sheet metal projects, including planning, fabricating, installation of commercial / industrial ductwork.

A strong background in ductwork and ductwork layouts, as well as experience with VAV systems, is essential for this role.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

• Oversee and manage sheet metal projects
• Develop and implement efficient sheet metal production strategies to ensure high-quality products and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth operation and communication.
• Supervise and train sheet metal team members, ensuring they comply with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet

metal products.

• Calculate and convert dimensions from blueprints and plans to perform layout work for ductwork and other sheet metal products.
• Inspect work in progress and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the project
• Continually evaluate processes and methods, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Ensure all sheet metal work is compliant with industry standards and regulations.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the commercial / industrial HVAC industry
• Extensive knowledge and experience with ductwork and ductwork layouts.
• Experience with VAV systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in using various tools and equipment used in sheet metal operations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
