Summary
The Director of Application Development leads the application development team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
This position oversees day-to-day development activities, ensures compliance with industry standards, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement.
This position is a technical expert with strong leadership skills, capable of driving innovation and maintaining high levels of team performance and client satisfaction.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Use analytical skills and technical expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget constraints.
- Promote high project quality by implementing rigorous quality assurance processes.
- Identify and understand issues, problems, and opportunities
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions to optimize performance.
- Facilitate compliance with standard application development tools and processes. Required Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 years of progressive experience in application development leadership. Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience in Higher Education.
- Agile / Project Management Experience. Compensation Information This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 28PREM.
