Position Overview :
The Regional Leader is responsible for the overall success of their region. The Regional Leader is responsible for establishing the regional sales vision by leading and directing all aspects of assigned region to increase sales, profits, market share and minimize expenses.
This will be accomplished by cultivating an environment of genuine customer connection, building strong teams, and directing all activities required to drive sales and maximize results in the region.
Geographic Area : South / Central
Your Location : Within a reasonable distance to a major airport in Mountain, Pacific, or Central Time Zones.
Key Accountabilities : Sales Performance, Profit Performance, Talent (quality and succession plans), Strategy and Execution
Owns profitability and business results for region.
- Understands the organization’s vision, goals and strategies and uses financial analysis to evaluate strategic choices and options.
- Grasps the full meaning and interrelationships of key financial indicators. Recognizes profitability and revenue potential in business opportunities, capabilities, and competitive liabilities.
Anticipates risks and devises contingency plans to manage them.
Sets clear expectations, priorities and direction for the region and ensures attainment of sales, payroll, operating expenses and inventory shortage results.
Serves as a brand ambassador and ensures a customer and associate centric culture across all channels.
- Ensures maurices customer service standards and programs are learned and modeled.
- Attends external events / creates external networks as a way to spread the word about maurices and live one of the company’s core values of community support.
Creates and leads strategy and vision for region.
- Has a clear vision for and understand of the business, culture, and operations.
- Translates broad strategies into clear objectives and practical action plans and ensures consistent messaging to associates at all levels.
- Maintains a long-term big picture view, foreseeing obstacles and opportunities and generating innovative ideas.
- Researches and analyzes environmental and competitive conditions, customer needs, and market trends.Identifies new business growth opportunities.
- Leads by taking calculated risks, championing break-through ideas and cultivating a broad network to rally support and manage through change and adversity
Ensures the continued vibrancy / success of their region and maurices through talent acquisition and management.
- Assesses, develops, educates and mentors district leaders in all areas of responsibility. Provides regular feedback and coaching and encourages development through challenging assignments, stretch goals, and cross functional collaboration.
- Fosters a positive, motivating and challenging working environment by inspiring field leaders and capitalizing on individual strengths and talents.
- Holds district leaders accountable for business results.
- Selects recruits and hires strong leaders; has solid succession plans in place at all times.
- Continuously promotes and support a culture centered around Diversity, Equity and Belonging.
Collaborates with key home office partners to ensure company / region success.
- Partners with Store Planning to manage inventory levels and ensures all stores in region are merchandised according to visual guidelines.
- Partners with the home office by identifying areas to increase sales and profits or improve culture and recommends solutions to improve standards and processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- Retail Management experience required with a minimum 5-7 years of multi-store supervisory experience.
- Proven strategist and future oriented thinker, can spot opportunities and generate solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with all levels within the organization; ability to express and logically articulate point of view, then own the final outcomes to reinforce company initiatives.
- Business and financial acumen, capability with expense management and / or managing a P&L.
- Leads change, recognizes and demonstrates adaptability and versatility in an ever changing business climate
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and challenge teams to achieve results.
- Diligence and the ability to persevere in the face of resistance or setbacks.
Unique Working Conditions :
- Extensive travel required (80%).
- Able to move or handle merchandise throughout the store weighing up to 50 pounds (occasionally).
- Works varied hours / days as business dictates.
The compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.
We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
The range of pay budgeted for this role is : $140,000 - $160,000 annualized, with additional incentive compensation and benefits.
