Under the direction of the Senior Vice President & Corporate Controller, the Associate Corporate Controller (ACC) is responsible full cycle accounting such as month end / year end close, general ledger reconciliations , treasury management support, GAAP accrual accounting entries, account analysis, preparation of journal entries , managing fixed assets and assisting with the financial statement audit.

The ACC will be an active participant in, and driver of, the data and systems needed to analyze and support YMCA of South Florida's overall financial structure and strategy .

The ACC will work in tandem with the SVP & Corporate Controller to support the technology needed for functional applications, report writing, dashboards and data analysis .

The ACC will maintain the integrity of the existing finance systems and support enhancements and continued automation of the systems .

S / he must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.

S / he must have an acumen for understanding modernizing business process workflows while ensuring compliance, efficiencies , and cross-functional transparency.

Essential Functions / Job Duties :

  • Provides the overall leadership and support for strategic technology decisions for the Organization with the CFO.
  • Acts as the Financial Lead in implementation of new applications at the Organization , both within and outside of of Finance.
  • Drives cross-functional discussions to assist with governance over the YMCA's usage of technology applications.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to guarantee optimal understanding of systems by supporting applications, deadlines , document at ion , and training of new and existing staff.
  • Continuous review of the existing Financial Data Model (FDM) to support a comprehensive reporting structure.
  • Collaborates with senior financial leadership to align the use of technology with the evolving operational needs of the organization.
  • Provides data and analytic support : Conducts strategic data analysis , identifies insights and implications from organizational data and makes strategic recommendations to the CFO.
  • Coordinates with appropriate parties to establish repeatable reporting metrics for measuring performance.
  • Develops data displays that clearly communicate complex analyses to multiple audiences including executive and senior leadership.
  • Maintains visibility across the Organization to help push strategic initiatives forward and surface critical issues.
  • Provides ongoing oversight and support to management and decision making to ensure that measures are being used to effectively manage operations and effect organizational change.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities / Position Requirements :

  • Bachelor's Degree required, master's degree and CPA required.
  • Seasoned, mature leader with at least -5-7 years of accounting, budget, and systems experience.
  • NetSuite and Salesforce experience, preferred.
  • Proven ability to set and lead strategies that increase the financial health of the business by executing efficiencies through technology change management.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience in translating a strategic vision into financial and operational reality.
  • Experience implementing / enhancing an ERP or reporting tool required.
  • Experience using information technology to lead and streamline finance and accounting procedures and in producing predictive indicators to best manage the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate / Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, v-lookups) required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word , PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Suite Products.
