Job Title : Production Chemist
Pharmaceutical peptide company in Torrance looking for a chemist to join their production team! Opportunity to make an impact in the pharmaceutical space and gain experience with analytical instrumentation! ENTRY-LEVEL candidates are welcome to apply!
REQUIREMENTS :
- in Chemistry or Biochemistry
- 6+ months of GMP experience with analytical instrumentation - will consider ENTRY-LEVEL if candidate has HPLC experience from undergraduate program
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Description :
- During processing, monitors chemical reactions (color and completeness of chemical reactions)
- Using established procedures (safety and process) and under general supervision, performs intermediate chemical processing steps.
- Prepares solutions for purification and samples.
- Under general supervision, purifies crude peptide by using HPLC.
- Conducts lyophilization process according to established guidelines.
- Performs drying processes in accordance with established processes and procedures.
- Reports any problems or issues regarding equipment used in processing to supervision
- Performs in-process checking of the fractions by using analytical HPLC and reports results to supervision and / or Sr.
Production Chemist personnel.
