The Vice President or Senior Vice President of Engineering will play a critical role in shaping and executing our technology strategy so that we can achieve our business goals.

You will be responsible for leading, developing, and growing a high-performing team of approximately 150 engineers. Leveraging your technical skills, leadership ability, strategic vision, customer-centric mindset, and deep commitment to excellence, you will be charged with driving innovation and ensuring that our technology infrastructure, processes, and people support our ambitious growth plans.

  • This position will be in our Lehi, UT office at least 50% of the time.
  • Reports to : Branden Neish, Chief Product & Technology Officer.

What You Will Own

  • Leadership and Strategy :
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive technology vision and roadmap aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of engineers, architects, and technologists located in the US and India, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and values.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  • Technical Vision and Execution :
  • Experience building successful new products that drive significant revenue.
  • Oversee the architecture, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, high-quality SaaS products.
  • Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of technology solutions and platforms.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our technology infrastructure.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
  • Collaboration and Communication :
  • Collaborate closely with Product Management, Product Design, and Product Operations leadership to ensure alignment on product vision, roadmap, and delivery.
  • Partner with other executives across the business to understand their needs and develop technology solutions that drive growth and competitive advantage.
  • Establish effective communication channels and collaboration tools to facilitate seamless interaction and cooperation between geographically-dispersed teams.
  • Model and promote a culture of cross-functional teamwork, where departments work together to achieve common objectives and deliver exceptional value to customers.
  • Operational Excellence :
  • Oversee the engineering budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources without compromising quality or performance.
  • Define and monitor key operational metrics to track the performance and health of engineering operations, and report on these metrics to the executive team.
  • Evaluate, implement, and maintain consistent engineering practices, processes, and standards across all locations to ensure high quality, high productivity, and efficient delivery.
  • Talent Development :
  • Attract and retain world-class talent emphasizing our customer-first culture within an inclusive and highly-engaged environment.
  • Encourage continuous learning and skill development to keep the team updated with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Implement strategies to boost employee engagement and job satisfaction to retain talent across the technical teams.
  • Promote inclusivity in hiring practices to build diverse technology teams.

What You Will Need to Accomplish the Job

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the technology industry.
  • Experience in scaling a software business beyond $200M in revenue.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing technology teams.
  • Vision for how AI / ML can enhance products, accelerate software development, and increase quality.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of SaaS architectures, cloud technologies, and agile methodologies.
  • Strong business acumen and experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to make data-driven decisions and drive strategic initiatives.
