Position Overview :
As the Lead Banquet Server, you will be the right-hand person to our Chef / Owner and Captain, playing a crucial role in ensuring that our events run smoothly and that our service exceeds client expectations.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :
- Collaborating with the Chef / Owner or Captain before events to review specifics and ensure all details are in place.
- Overseeing the setup and teardown of banquet events, ensuring everything aligns with our high standards.
- Setting tables and chairs according to established guidelines.
- Assisting with the complete setup and breakdown of the banquet area.
- Communicating openly with the Captain about timing and any necessary adjustments.
- Relaying vital information about orders, allergies, and special requests to the appropriate team members.
- Responding promptly and professionally to any concerns or issues that arise.
- Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with clients and guests.
- Fostering a positive work environment with managers and fellow employees.
- Arriving on time, in proper uniform, ready to start your shift.
- Ensuring that all equipment and banquet supplies are cleaned and returned to their proper place after use.
- Keeping banquet rooms clean and presentable before, during, and after events.
- Handling food and beverage products with care and attention to safety.
- Ensuring servers complete assigned side work throughout the shift.
- Attending staff meetings and training seminars as required.
- Adhering to all company policies.
Qualifications :
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well with others are essential.
- Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of banquet server experience is required; prior management experience is preferred.
