Position Title : Technical Writer 3

Location : Remote

Expected Duration : Contract of 12 Months

Job Type : Contract and Remote

Pay Range : $38 - $40 / hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.

g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Top Skills :

• Years of Experience Required : 5-7 overall years of experience in the field.
• Experience with technical writing (NOT specs, needs someone who is comfortable with user-focused technical writing) (5+ YOE)
• Experience with assimilation information of technical writing from a spec to create artifacts (5+ YOE)
• Experience developing video artifacts (5+ YOE)

Job Description : Summary :

Summary :

The main function of a Technical Writer is to write technical materials, such as equipment materials, appendices, or operating and maintenance instructions.

A typical technical writer is responsible for organizing, editing and maintaining technical records and files.

Job Responsibilities :

• Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology
• Maintain records and files of work and revisions
• Confer with client to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science or English, journalism, communications
• 5-7 years' experience required
• Experience in in creating documentation for a technical audience
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
• Ability to read some programming code
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
