The University of Miami Health System, "UHealth", IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Workday Report Developer.
The Senior Workday Report Developer partners with stakeholders and peer teams to deliver solutions for BI needs via reports, data visualization tools, SQL queries, and metadata layers.
This position is regarded as a Subject Matter Expert in the areas of BI Reporting, Data Warehousing, and Data Modeling. The incumbent in this position will also act as lead on projects and assigned initiatives as well as lead and mentor to other developers and team members.
Develops a strong understanding of user reporting needs and makes implementation recommendations on how those reports can be developed using reporting tools.
Development may include some requirements gathering, design, deployment, and on-going enhancements.
Designs, develops, and tunes data visualization tools and reports to meet business requirements.
Creates and configures metadata objects.
Works with ETL developers to determine report design strategies.
Works with application analysts to identify and understand source data systems.
Makes recommendations on reporting alternatives and innovative solutions in relationship to business need, costs, effectiveness, and information availability requirements.
Solves problems that address both technical and business challenges (meaning of data, impact to data) and be able to effectively communicate the recommended solution.
Builds prototypes for demonstration and illustration purposes for peer groups, stakeholders, and / or senior leaders.
Supports peers, and stakeholders as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) through troubleshooting, analysis of results, Production Support, and identification of opportunities to solve Business problems through BI.
Provides supervision and leadership to staff, as appropriate.
Works on security setup and maintenance for data visualization tools and collaborates with central security teams for data access.
Develops project time estimates, application documentation and training materials.
Provides post implementation support of user questions and fine tuning of processes.
Maintains communications with management and users during development or maintenance cycle.
Coordinates users' activities during application development and maintains data and system integrity.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree in related field : Computer Engineering, Data Engineering, Industrial Engineering
Workday Report Certified
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
Background supporting HR, Finance, Supply Chain functional areas like Talent Management, Benefits, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Grants, Vendors, and Suppliers.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of Reporting Tools
Exceptional presentation and analytical skills
Highly self-motivated
Works effectively as part of a team or independently
