The McHenry County Public Health department seeks a part time Administrative Specialist to fill a recent vacated position due to a promotion.
The hours for this position are : 28 per week occasional early evenings and weekends.
JOB SUMMARY :
Provide administrative support to the Veterinary Public Health Program. This position requires good communication skills and computer ability.
Team oriented environment.
JOB FUNCTION :
Responsibilities include accuracy, computer data entry, word processing, and filing. In addition, there is extensive phone work and contact with the public.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or GED.
- Bilingual a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

Other requirements :
All Health Department staff are required to be up to date on the COVID vaccination series as determined by the CDC, including all primary series doses and boosters as of September 2023.
