Career Readiness Learning Objectives :
Critical Thinking : The Tutor analyzes and identifies each student’s needs regarding the global language. Then, the Tutor tailors the tasks, exercises, explanations based on that analysis and assessment.
Professionalism : The Tutor demonstrates professionalism and effective work habits by being punctual, respectful, and helpful to students who seek assistance with a foreign language.
A Gannon University student employed as a Foreign Language tutor / mentor will perform the following tasks :
1. Attend regularly scheduled language class sessions during the week in order to stay current and informed about the course material
2. Help facilitate classroom activities during regularly scheduled class sessions
3. Lead weekly supplemental language sessions in which the faculty is not present (Nash Library)
4. Offer one-to-one tutoring at the Language Learning Center (PC 2206) Required Qualifications Fluency in the target language
