Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking an IT Project Manager for our Information Technology Department. This position will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients.

The IT Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing technology projects that support the firm's legal operations.

This position collaborates closely with the IT department, key stakeholders and vendors to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives tailored to meet our firm's specific needs on time and on budget.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

  • Project Planning and Management : Lead the planning, execution, and closure of legal technology projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and scope constraints.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with legal teams, IT professionals, key stakeholders and external vendors to define project objectives, scope, and requirements.
  • Risk Management : Identify potential risks and issues proactively, developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables
  • Resource Allocation : Allocate resources effectively across projects, managing team workload and ensuring alignment with project priorities.
  • Quality Assurance : Implement quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet high standards of accuracy, functionality, and reliability.
  • Documentation and Reporting : Maintain comprehensive project documentation, status reports, and metrics to track progress and communicate project status to stakeholders.
  • Change Management : Facilitate change management processes, ensuring smooth transitions and adoption of new technologies within the legal environment.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5 years or greater proven experience managing IT projects in a legal environment, with a strong understanding of legal workflows and technology solutions.
  • PMP or similar certification preferred but not required.
  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA), legal case management systems, document management systems, and legal applications.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Leadership : Demonstrated leadership skills in guiding cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion.

This is a full-time, regular position with a multi-faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision. The firm also offers life insurance, short term disability plans and retirement plans in addition to holidays and paid time off.

The firm offers hybrid work schedules combining in office work days as well as remote work days. The pay range for this position in Atlanta only is $118,000 to $176,000 annually.
