Position Responsibilities :
- You may be asked to Stage, configure, and install Verifone POS and Commander, Configure POS peripherals (drawer, scanner, receipt printer and pin pads).
- Install network switches, firewalls gateways, UPS, and other network related hardware.
- Install back-office PCs, printers, and handheld scanners.
- Support and help troubleshoot POS, network, and back-office issues after go-live.
- Participate in and help organize the new store schedule and changes.
- Assist with projects related to hardware and software releases and rollouts.
- Lead onsite regional store migrations, acquisitions, divestitures, and new to industry store builds.
- Adhere to defined help desk request- and problem-solving process.
- Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved.
- Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
- Help perform and evaluate new to industry integrations and build the processes and procedures for how integrations are to be performed.
- Perform and exercise work and tasks, in an organized and detail-oriented manner.
- Keep workspaces clean and organized.
Qualifications :
- High School or associate degree plus three-to-five years’ experience.
- Previous experience coordinating and setting up new stores.
- Verifone VASC POS certification, ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+, HDI TSP certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience with POS (preferably VeriFone / Commander, credit processing, and other convenience store tech experience are a plus.
- Experience with hand and power tools.
- Experience using multi-meters and toners to test cabling continuity, connectivity, voltage presences and voltage at the outlet.
- Ability to read network documents and diagrams, user manuals, and attention to detail of the assigned scope of work.
- Proven knowledge of Windows operating systems, PCs, printers, networking hardware and protocols, and other hardware, such as hard drives, video cards, cabling, routers, and hubs.
- Experience with PDI / Enterprise 8 a plus.
- Experience using productivity software (MS Office and remote support tools).
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard or mouse, and to handle other computer components.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
- High-level of personal accountability.
- Proven ability to manage time workload effectively and work well in a team environment.
- Strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills; and
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
