Roles and Responsibilities :

Develop commissioning plans and schedules in coordination with project management, engineering, and construction teams. Oversee the preparation and maintenance of all commissioning related documentation, including procedures, checklists, and reports.

Liaise with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials necessary for commissioning activities.

Lead a team of commissioning engineers and technicians, assigning tasks and providing guidance to ensure the successful completion of commissioning activities.

Implement quality control measures to ensure that commissioning activities meet project specifications and guidelines. Identify and mitigate risks associated with commissioning activities, such as schedule delays and technical issues.

Oversee the execution of functional testing, performance testing, and validation to ensure functionality of systems and equipment.

Serve as primary point of contact for client during the commissioning phase, providing regular updates on progress and addressing any concerns.

Prepare comprehensive commissioning reports summarizing results of testing activities. Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and codes throughout the commissioning process.

Promote a safe culture on site and adhere to safety protocols and procedures during the commissioning activities.

Provide ongoing support to operations and maintenance teams as needed following project handover.

Skills and Qualifications required :

  • Degree or Trade qualified in a Mechanical or Electrical discipline.
  • Commissioning certification would be desirable.
  • Excellent IT Skills in MS Office Suite and BIM 360 would be an advantage.
  • 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Knowledge of various testing procedures, methodologies, and tools used in the commissioning process.
  • Skills in troubleshooting, documenting, and resolving issues encountered during commissioning phase.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations relevant to the commissioning activities.
  • Ability to conduct safety risk assessments and implement safety measures during commissioning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Proficiency in preparing detailed reports, manuals, and documentation for handover to operations team.
