Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Mill Machinist for a busy Manufacturer in Longwood, FL 32750
Pay rate : $15.00-$23.00 / hour depending on experience
Schedules :
1. Weekday- Mon - Thu (10 hour days) 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm
2. Weekend- Fri, Sat, Sun 12 hour 6am-6pm
Term : Temp to hire
What's a typical day as a Mill Machinist (Programmer and Setup Experience Required)? You'll be :
- Loading and unloading raw materials
- Proficiently using gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
- Reducing set up time and machining time through process improvements
- Inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications using tools such as calipers, height gauges, micrometers, rulers, etc.
- Performing geometry and tool wear offsets
- Cleaning and performing daily / preventative maintenance of company equipment
- Assisting in organization and maintenance of Machine Shop work environment
- Utilizing and abiding by AS9100 requirements and safety procedures
- Training newer employees / co-workers on manufacturing processes and procedures
- Providing feedback and input for process improvement
- Complying with all quality policies and instructions
- Tracking / recording job progress and deficiencies daily in both written and electronic formats
This job might be an outstanding fit if you :
- Have 3-5 years of CNC Mills experience (programming experience required)
- Are proficient in reading and understanding blueprints
- Have a proficient understanding of and ability to accurately use measuring instruments
- Have the ability to turn on, set up, and operate lathes and / or mills with minimal assistance
- Have proficient knowledge of various CNC controls and M and G code
- Have the ability to perform mathematical calculations
- Are self-sufficient and have keen attention to detail and quality
- Can bend, stoop, and reach
- Can lift 30 lbs
