Progressive Stamping Production Leader
Lead and supervise assigned area to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery, Morale and Cost Objectives.
Ensure team's adherence to all company policy and procedures.
Lead teams to continuously improve processes, eliminate waste within their areas.
Coach and develop team members to reach their full potential by performing the following duties personally and / or through subordinates.
Meet required safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. (Eliminate waste, reduce cost and improve productivity within their work areas).
Supervise staff to produce products and organizes and monitors workflow. Assist team with troubleshooting equipment and material concerns.
Provide training and coaching as needed.
Monitor, suggest and participate in OEE activities and implement action plans.
Monitor / participate in team meetings and coordinate team activities.
Complete and administer performance feedback / coaching, corrective disciplinary action, training, policy / procedure compliance on a timely basis.
Conduct internal interviews and investigations to resolve concerns, accidents, continuous improvement suggestions.
Communicates and coordinates activities with other supervisors and departments.
Schedule production work assignments. Implement adjustments as needed to ensure customer requirements are met.
Coordinate resources for scheduled machine set ups / change overs, repairs and preventative maintenance.
Conduct plant start up processes and shut down processes as needed.
Communicate critical machine downtime to Manufacturing Manager via verbal communication and
submit work requests as needed.
Monitor process and product quality to verify conformance to specifications. Participate in
investigations for suspect quality incidents as assigned.
Evaluate and implement cross training techniques to ensure a well-trained team.
Ensure assigned area is following AITF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer requirements.
Provide communication and company information updates to team on a regular basis.
Provide feedback of employee questions / concerns to Manufacturing Manager and HR Director.
Assist in resolving team member concerns or questions on a timely basis.
Make recommendation of area training needs. Monitor / complete training matrix.
Actively participate in safety of assigned work area by conducting investigations and resolving
safety concerns / and accident / injuries.
Conduct LPA's and resolve non-conformances as assigned.
Assist with applicant interviews and make recommendations for hire as directed.
This position has authority to process all components of the training matrix for all skill sets,
activities and equipment in their area of responsibility and are considered able to train
subordinates and evaluate their skill set.
Support and comply with all company / safety standards and standard operating
procedures.
Must have :
Stamping Experience in a manufacturing environment
Small shop experience - not looking for candidates from a large OEM like Ford or GM, or from the large tier 1 supplier
Mid-level experience (7-15 years) experience; not looking for end of career candidates

2 client interviews : Candidates would meet with HR Director, EVP of operations, and possibly the President and also have a full tour of their facilities.
