RADIOLOGY Technician Shreveport

RadiologicTechnologists will be required to perform a wide variety of routineand advanced imaging procedures. The technologist will providesupport for other imaging technologists as needed.

The technologistmay be assigned to work in a variety of locations. The technologistmust be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance participate in QAand resolve issues related to image processing and the imagearchiving system.

Responsibilities :

• Meetsexpectations of the applicable : Leader of Self Leader of Others orLeader ofLeaders.
• Performsa variety of diagnostic procedures some of a more complex natureutilizing proper technique and giving appropriate proceduralinstructions to thepatient.
• Evaluatethe patient for clinical contrast history and possiblecontraindications.
• Adheresto established section and organizational protocols QA guidelinesand regulatoryrequirements.
• Interactsappropriately with patients and all care providers by coordinatingand prioritizing procedures during the workday to maintain a highlevel of patient care andcontinuity.
• Mustpossess the ability and willingness to rotate within departmentsand clinics for propercoverage
• AssistsRadiologist or other medical professional in invasive andfluoroscopic procedures using equipment to pinpoint anatomicallocations.
• Ensuresthat exam rooms are neat clean and adequately stocked prior toexams being performed and acts to ensure compliance with InfectionControlstandards.
• Ensuresall charges are correctly coded andentered.
• Appropriatelyadapts to assigned patient assessment treatment and / or care methodsto accommodate the unique physical psychosocial cultural spiritualagespecific and other developmental needs of each patientserved.
• Performsall duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality ofpatients and does not solicit or disclose any confidentialinformation unless it is necessary in the performance of assignedjobduties.
• Demonstratesadherence to the Core values of ourclient.
• Performsother duties asassigned.

Requirements

MustHaves :

• Graduateof an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other acceptedand approvedequivalent
• 13years of experience in ahospital
• Currentregistration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologistsis required (Temporary permit required for newgraduates)
• CurrentBLS (American HeartAssociation)

Required skills & experience : 1) Graduate of an accreditedSchool of Nursing. 2) Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse inthe State of LA (or other NLC state).

3) 2+ years previousexperience working in care management and / or with CKD / ESRD patientsis preferred. 4) Ability to take call remotely on some nights andweekends 5) Must have Home Health and / or Hospice experience.

Preferred 2+ years experience in any of the following : DialysisCare Home Health Care Hospice Case Management (CM)
