Backend Software Developer

The mission of the Back-End Software Developer is to work with our software applications team to achieve our business’ digital goals.

The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on professional with Full Stack development experience, and an ability to translate our business needs into client-friendly functions that will expand upon our existing software products.

In addition, the candidate should be able to initiate new software requirements and see to completion the entire development process.

The Back-End Software Developer will be responsible for implementing feature requests on our existing desktop and online entities, as well as gathering requirements and implementing new internal and external procedures as the need arises.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend services using C# and ASP.Net Core.
• Implement RESTful APIs to enable seamless communication between front end and back-end systems.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability by implementing best practices and efficient code.
• Work closely with front end developers to integrate backend services with user interfaces developed using Angular and TypeScript.
• Incorporate and utilize messaging systems such as RabbitMQ for asynchronous communication between microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay updated with emerging front-end technologies and best practices to continuously enhance our development processes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience as a Front-End Software Engineer.
• Hands-on experience with ASP.Net Core.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI / CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to functionally communicate occupational-based English, both written and verbal.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Knowledge of Docker containers and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Understanding of security best practices for backend development.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Certifications related to back-end development or relevant technologies.

Physical Requirements :

• Frequently push and / or pull up to 25 lbs.
