Kinsa is recruiting for a : Sr. Director of Operations / Beverage
Location : Durham, NC (Onsite)
Our client is a highly innovative coffee manufacturer based in Durham, NC. The mission for the Sr. Director of Operations is to oversee the entire manufacturing process in the roasteries, as well as coordinate with all teams to foster the exchange of ideas and provide cross-team learning opportunities.
This position specifically focuses on inventory control, personnel management, and budgeting. They oversee both roasting and production teams by helping to resolve issues, set goals, create accountability, and provide mentorship.

Successful candidates MUST HAVE 5 years of experience in CPG or food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities and Goals :
- Oversight of all roasting and production responsibilities, and implement Lean best practices throughout.
- Generating and implementing policies, procedures and processes in both roasteries.
- Planning appropriately for scaling and growth, including proactive staffing.
- Motivating and inspiring an engaged team, working to solve concerns as they arise.
- Managing operations budgets and growth forecast.
- Managing all materials vendor relationships.
- Managing all operations regulatory compliance
Competencies Needed for Success :
- Minimum 5-7 years of operations experience in leadership roles in CPG and / or food manufacturing required.
- Technical knowledge of processing and packaging is an asset.
- Demonstrated track record of building and leading high functioning teams.
- Lean Six-Sigma experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge and experience in the following areas : Occupational Health & Safety, People Leadership, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Assurance.
- Ability to set direction through business acumen, strategic agility and dealing with ambiguity.
- Drive results with timely decision making, command and negotiating skills.
- Operate with a sense of urgency, being action oriented and exhibiting perseverance.
- Strong project management and budgeting skills.
